THE SOURCE MAGAZINE

As a designer for The Source (2009-2011), a Hip-Hop editorial magazine, I learned a great deal-from problem solving on tight deadlines, to creating an aesthetic narrative and collaborating within a close team. Below are samples of that catalog of work.

Graphic Design, Typography, Editorial Design, Layout, Illustration

I was responsible for developing the typographic and image layouts for the Buyers' Guide section of the book's release. Later I expanded to designing feature layouts, traveling to interview artists, and photographing festivals.

Below are an assortment of feature layouts I designed while working for The Source. Those early days I grew as a designer, consciously taking into consideration narrative, copy length / typography, and aesthetic.
